Hyundai i30N

Ever since the first N model was introduced in 2017 Hyundai has become an important marque in world wide car tuning culture. With help from our Korean importer Motion In motorsport TAROX was quick to understand the importance of high performance brakes for N models. First up was the I30N a true hot hatch and a piece competitor out of the blocks or the well established VW Golf Gti and Ford Focus ST. Hot hatched have always been a staple for us so it was essential to prioritise development.

On release journalists complemented its great chassis and driving dynamics – with the ex-BMW design boss at the helm it’s hardly a surprise. Most cars spec’d with the 275ps 2.0 engine there is plenty of power on tap too. As is the tradition with the hot hatch market if the car is well received its not long before the performance aftermarket are circling like vultures ready to develop parts to help fully exploit the cars potential – especially for those who planned a trip to a track day or even the Nordschleife

After a successful design and development program the 350mm 8 piston kit was ready for a real test! Fitted up to Engstler Motorsport endurance i30 N fastback. The brake system would be subject to the most gruelling race in the world – the ADAC Nürburgring 24h! With impressive results and perfect performance all race long from the kit, TAROX are confident that the kit is the ultimate option for improved braking

By 2018 we had a full range of parts for the Hyundai I30N, in a position to offer customers everything from street pads and braided lines to 340mm 8 piston brake kits.

It wasn’t long before we realised that Veloster shared many of the I30n parts and all of our product line could be utilised. Working with Bisimoto on a project for Hyundai north America to be unveiled at SEMA 2019. We made some small tweaks to perfect the brake system for North America market ensuring huge gains in stopping power while painting great pedal feel and brake pad compound that was great both on the street and track.

TAROX heat treated high carbon performance discs for the Hyundai i30 N are the benchmark set for all performance brake discs. As with all TAROX performance discs the Hyundai I30 N discs will be subject to TAROX unique process such as heat treatment and final balancing ensuring the ultimate in performance and longevity. TAROX will be offering the disc in their Sport Japan drilled and grooved design as well as the instantly recognisable F2000 design.

The I30N received a facelift and the performance pack model received an update in the braking department with Hyundai utilising the larger 360mm rotors found on the Elantra model.
It was decided the best option for this brake system would be to design a two piece floating rotor as a direct replacement ensuring drivers could push the car to the limit on track without concerns for the brake rotors
