Classic 911 Street not the Museum
Classic Porches, Please drive them.
Cars were built to be driven, no? We understand that as certain models increase in value the desire to keep your machine low on miles and but would you actually ever sell your pride and joy anyway? So why not do exactly what it was designed to do and drive the socks off it.
Our brake systems for classic Porsche are perfect for the car that retains a smaller wheel looking for the extra grip from chunky tyres and a classic aesthetic,
16’s are no issue here.
For 911 models between ’73 and ’89 models we machine the rotor from a slice of our own proprietary stock of solid billet steel, this method allows us to not only have an incredibly strong and durable rotor but manage to offset of the rotor. This offset control allows us to position the caliper tight up against the hub and suspension assembly which creates a greater amount of clearance between the caliper and inside of the wheel. We use a designed and machined in house billet alloy two piece 6 piston caliper lug mounted caliper with an anodized finish.
TAROX calipers are designed for with regular hard road use in mind and therefore utilise an dual internal o-ring system to keep dust and weather away from the pistons.
Its common to see TAROX brake kits in our familiar F2000 long grooved rotors and black calipers but all our kits are fully customisable by you. From caliper colour, disc style and pad compound every kit is hand built especially for you. Every TAROX brake kit will contain everything you need to upgrade your system – calipers with pads installed and ready to go, mounting hardware, braided brake lines and of course handed rotors.
Weight. Lets loose some if we can. Brakes are un-sprung which basically means they are below the suspension and have a greater bearing on overall dynamics. As our B30 6piston caliper weights in at only 2.4kg we are not only creasing stopping power and thermal stability but seriously reducing this critical un-sprung weight – bonus!
So great things really do come in small packages.
