Matt Glassup’s sublime 964, equipped with TAROX brakes
Alongside a range of performance discs and pads, big brake kits and two piece discs TAROX also specialise in one off custom applications. This has come into play with many small volume manufacturers and race teams over the years. Just about anyone can take advantage of TAROX brake engineering expertise for their project however.
Matt Glassup has done exactly that with his Porsche 964. Nestled behind those candy gold 3 piece wheels is a bespoke TAROX four-wheel, two-piece disc, big brake kit. It’s finished in a matching gold anodised finish that contrasts with the green paintwork perfectly.
Every inch of space is taken up behind the wheels and the TAROX brake setup is a vast improvement over the stock 964 brakes, perfectly balanced for this tricky rear engined chassis.
You’d be forgiven for thinking such a clean Porsche might lead a pampered life, but those in the know will spot the 964RS brake ducts in the front bumper. These replace the factory fog lights and hint at Matt’s driving intentions.
Come rain or shine you’ll find Matt making the air-cooled flat six sing. The pair regularly attend shows up and down the country, so keep an eye out for the gold bullion nestled in the Porsche’s arches. Check out the project on Matt’s Instagram: @mglassup.
