Combining an 'off the shelf' OE spec cast rotor with a high performing lightweight multi-piston was a way for us to deliver massive performance gains without breaking the bank. We used to refer to them as Sport Compact kits as the first used the 280mm G60 disc and a 6-piston caliper for MK1 and MK2 Golf GTI. The range grew fast to include 106, 205, Clio then on to Civic Type R and Impreza WRX. It’s been a while since a new one and they are definitely not compact anymore.
